VME Backplane Connector

VMEbus (ANSI/VITA 1-1994) is a computer bus standard that is physically based on Eurocard sizes, mechanicals and connectors (DIN 41612), but uses its own signalling system, which Eurocard does not define. It was first developed in 1981 and continues to see widespread use today. The standard was later extended to VME64x which permits 64-bit data traffic.

VXS (ANSI/VITA 41) further extends the VME standard by adding support for switched serial fabrics such as PCI Express, RapidIO, StarFabric and InfiniBand.

RedLinX® offers an extensive range of air-cooled and conduction-cooled processor boards and modules based on VMEbus and bus technologies.
